Capital Murder Trial Set To Begin For Dothan Dad

A Dothan man charged with capital murder in the death of his infant son goes on trial next week.

Tony Dent, 42, was declared competent to stand trial after a pre-trial hearing in August.

Investigators say Dent took five-month-old Christopher to a hospital in April of 2006, claiming the child had breathing problems.

The boy actually had suffered a brain injury and was taken to a Birmingham hospital, where he later died.

Authorities say Dent allegedly caused the injury by throwing his son against a couch.

If convicted Dent could face the death penalty.

I spent some time in jail with this bird, and he is guilty as hell. He wanted to blame the death on another child. Any idiot could see through the fake tears and cries from this man there was no change in his emotions or anything that normally an innocent person would show. I know I have seen the innnocent get time and the guilty go free just because of the emotions they showed,. Let me know when it is time to push the button I well volunteer.

Dent should have to face the death penalty. If he did take the life of an infant child. Why should he be free to live? Infant child didn't do anything wrong, and didn't ask to be killed.
