Water World Possible Price Hike

Water World brings thousands of people to Dothan each year and now it's going to cost a little more to get through the gates.

Children and adults will see a two dollar increase in fees moving from 7 and 10 dollars to 9 and 12 dollars respectively.

Groups will pay 150 dollars more per hour to rent the park, that's a change from 350 dollars to 500 dollars an hour.

Senior citizens have gotten into water world free in the past and the city has no plans to change that.

"We feel like it's a good thing for the community and we want them to bring their grandchildren and come out and enjoy the facility," says Robin Patrick of Dothan Leisure Services

The Dothan City Commission will vote to approve the fee increases in two weeks on Tuesday, February 26.
