Highlights from Tuesday's Commissioner Meeting

The Dothan City Commissioners took action on a few proposals at Tuesday night's meeting.

Commissioners approved a measure to submit a pre-application to pay for a multi-million dollar project at Little Choctawhatchee Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The commission also agreed to demolish the Old Dothan City Jail. It is part of the city's plan to rejuvenate downtown by providing parking.

Commissioners did NOT approve a motion to extend Murphy Mill Road to connect with Flynn Road.

Commissioners also discussed renewing Dothan’s City Manager Mike West's contract.

That issue will be voted on at the next council meeting, in two weeks.
