Bond Set at Half a Million Dollars for Man Charged in Teen's Death

Bond has been set for a man accused of killing a teenage girl while fleeing from the law.

Robert Wills has been held without bond in the Houston County Jail since the night of January 26th.

That's when he was charged with murder in the death of 15-year old Whitney Lake.

She was killed when Wills flipped his pick-up truck in a creek while trying to get away from a Houston County deputy.

The deputy had spotted a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business, but Wills sped away when the deputy approached.

District Attorney Doug Valeska contends there's evidence that wills may have had sex with the under-age girl and that's why he tried to get away.

Judge Brad Mendheim set bond at half a million dollars.

He was not tring to have sex with her why would he? He was like a father to her, and he would never hurt her like that!
