Florida Road and Bridge Seminar

Road

The future course of roads and bridges in northwest Florida became a bit clearer today. The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting several statewide regional forums this week to get input from the public.

Under Florida Governor Jeb Bush's directive, the DOT wants to establish long-range goals which will be a guide to the investment of more than 100 billion dollars over the next 20 years. The first session took place in Marianna. A similar forum will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Milton campus of Pensacola Junior College. A third session will be held on Wednesday morning at the Florida DOT main office in Tallahassee.
