Hammonds Trial

Fifty-year-old Jerry Hammonds was accused in the 1988 murder and robbery of his elderly uncle. Seventy-eight-year-old James McNeal was stabbed to death.

Jurors deliberated about 45 minutes Thursday before finding Hammonds guilty ... again. Hammonds two earlier convictions were reversed on appeal.

The jury will decide if he should get the death penalty again or life in prison without parole.
