Confederate Flag

The Confederate flag is once again creating controversy in Northwest Florida.

At this week's Crestview City Council Meeting, one NAACP member asked that the flag be removed from above a memorial honoring Florida's last Civil War veteran.

The NAACP Chapter President said the flag represents terror, bigotry and murder. But others said the flag is part of history, not hate.

Councilwoman Linda Parker is looking for a compromise.

The Crestview Council will continue talking about the Confederate flag issue at it's June 24 meeting.
