Mother and Child Escape House Fire

Graceville volunteer firefighters say 3-year-old Tyler Deon saw flames and woke his mother up.

Following their escape, the three-bedroom home on Peanut Road was engulfed in flames.

A few weeks earlier, a similar fire took place down the street.

Susan Rodriguez saw her house on fire and first thought her 16-year-old son was inside.

Although the fires are not related it is believed electrical-shorts started both of them.

Parent should have not went to sleep with 3 year old child awake. If child did'nt know to wake his mother up he or both could have been dead. If reason of fire is electrical related, and it second house on street lost due to same reason. An electrician needs to be sent out to check all houses on street to prevent another fire.
