Crackdown Underage Drinking

Geneva Police Chief Frankie Lindsey says his department is about to crackdown on underage drinking.

Chief Lindsey says he's received reports of businesses selling alcohol to underage teenagers.

Local authorities and members of the Alcohol Beverage Control office will be looking for violators.

Chief Lindsey also points out it’s not okay for parents to supply alcohol to their children.

it's an issue that is long overdue for police intervention. I hear rumors about these teenagers and their drinking. Put the individuals that are responsible for providing alcohol to the teens behind bars/and/or a stiff fine. Get a grasp on this before we loose a young person in a senseless act. Watch the liquor stores where these teens hang out to find someone to purchase the liquor for them. Many these teens would enjoy a Saturday outing by cleaning up the roadside of beer cans/bottles as punishment. I know I dislike picking up the mess in my area, but I don't like looking out my window seeing the litter. Good luck to the ABC and police officers.
