Police near Buffalo, New York, say a teen had taken a keen interest in the Columbine school attack, and planned one of his own.
The 15-year-old sophomore has been arrested for allegedly plotting to blow up his high school outside Buffalo. He's charged as a juvenile and won't be prosecuted as an adult.
Authorities say he had put together bomb-making materials and told other students about his plans.
They say the boy told investigators he didn't plan to carry out the attack until his senior year, and didn't intend to hurt anybody.
Investigators say a search of the boy's home turned up Columbine crime scene pictures and autopsy reports on the Columbine shooters, about whom he had also written a school paper.
