George Koll was attacked October 17th at his 77 Zoological Park in Southport by a 500-pound African lion named Samson.
Koll is home and recuperating from the attack. The lion attacked Koll after he stepped into the cage at the request of a visiting magazine photographer. He stumbled and that is when the lion attacked.
Koll says, "It's not the animals' fault. It's our fault. They don't belong in cages. They belong in the wilderness, but we destroy their habitat step by step by step."
