The Dothan Historic Preservation Commission will meet in February to try and determine the fate of the old city jail building in downtown.
The commission voted in favor of demolishing the building late last year, but now due to some voting discrepancies there will be another meeting on the subject next month.
There is also a disagreement on the age of the building; with some saying it's near 100 years old making it a historical landmark. But others feel the space it would provide downtown crucial for development.
The Historic Preservation Commission will vote again on the jails fate on Valentines Day, February 14th.
