Coffee County Received High Marks From FEMA

One Wiregrass board of county commissioners recently received high marks from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Coffee County EMA Director John Tallas presented all seven commissioners with a certificate of completion Monday.

The board recently passed a course designed to deal with tornados, hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Tallas says following the March tornado in Enterprise, it's important for local officials to be involved with national and state agencies regarding the clean-up.

Tallas says the board will be going through additional FEMA workshop sessions in the future.
