Police are still investigating a shooting that took place at a fast food restaurant on North Oates Street. The shooting landed two people in the emergency room at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
At around 5:15 Friday evening Dothan Police patrolling downtown responded to a call that shots had been fired at Church's Chicken on North Oates Street.
According to Lt. Tony Luker the responding unit pursued a vehicle headed south out of Church's parking lot and east on Main Street.
Lt. Luker says several shots were fired near the drive thru portion of the restaurant and that police have recovered a weapon.
Police have not yet released information or a description of any person they are searching for.
A representative at Southeast Alabama Medical Center says the two victims are listed in serious condition at this time.
Dothan police believe the shooting is not related to the business.
They are still seeking several people of interest as we speak.
