Husband and Wife Charged with Promoting Prison Contraband

A husband and wife incarcerated at the Coffee County Jail find themselves facing new legal problems.

A planned visit between inmates Kimberly and David Kilpatrick led to charges of promoting prison contraband.

Mrs. Kilpatrick reportedly had a cell phone and contraband inside a sock under her pantyhose.

Sheriff Dave Sutton says his corrections officers are constantly trying to stay one-step ahead of the ongoing contraband problem at the jail.
