Suspect in Dothan Woman's Murder Appears in Court

A Houston County man, accused of killing his wife, went to court Tuesday in an effort to get out of jail.

Forty-two-year-old James Chumney is charged with murder.

He has been held without bond since his arrest in August of last year, after 36-year-old Christine Chumney was shot to death during a domestic dispute.

Chumney has filed a motion asking for bond to be set so he can get out of jail.

A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
