It's being called a "Celebration of a New Beginning" in Bonifay. Wednesday night, several thousand came out to the newly opened Holmes County Fairgrounds.
It's taken more than a half-million dollars and it's complete with an indoor exhibit facility along with a concert center. The fairground is located along Sandpath Road, adjacent to Holmes County High School.
It replaces the old site at the Farm Center. There's now plenty of room on the 60-acre site.
The gates open at 5 p.m. through Friday and this Saturday is the final day; admittance begins at noon.
