Alabama's unemployment rate remains at 5.7 percent in September, unchanged from August, but above the 5.5 percent rate recorded a year ago.
The national unemployment rate for September was 5.6 percent, down from 5.7 percent in August.
The figures were release Friday by the State Department of Industrial Relations.
