A former employee of the Dothan driver’s license office admitted she embezzled money.
53-year-old Janice Jackson pled guilty to theft of property charges.
Jackson worked at the drivers license office in Dothan for 27 years before being fired in may.
She was indicted by a Houston County grand jury in June.
A state audit revealed more than 58 thousand dollars in missing funds allegedly taken from the office between October 1st of 2005 and June of this year.
Jackson is scheduled to be sentenced January 11th by Judge Larry Anderson.
She's free on a 25 thousand dollar bond.
