A suspect in the death of a Dothan man confessed to the crime Tuesday in open court.
24-year-old Matthew Marsh pled guilty to murder and receiving stolen property.
He was accused in the beating and strangulation death of Dewey Walker in April of 2004.
Prosecutors contend Walker was killed for his custom van and the expensive sound system inside it.
Marsh was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
A co-defendant in the case has already pled guilty to his part in the crime, another was convicted last month and could get the death penalty and a third is still waiting to stand trial.
