Arrest Made in Parking Lot Robbery Case

Eyewitnesses are being credited by police for helping in the arrest of a man who allegedly robbed an elderly person.

Police say Gregory Spann was riding a bicycle when he grabbed the purse of a 73-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Geneva grocery store.

Spann reportedly knocked over the victim, and proceeded to be followed by area citizens.

They alerted police and the 29-year-old suspect was arrested within 30-minutes of the strong-armed robbery.

All of the victim’s money has been recovered.

Since Spann was out-on-bail for a previous drug charge his bond has been revoked and he remains behind bars at the Geneva County Jail.
