Conrad Verdict

Twenty-one-year-old Robert Conrad was found guilty of murdering Enterprise storeowner Jelaine Dennis. He's been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

In May 2001, Dennis was gunned down inside her adult novelty store during an armed robbery.

Conrad also received another life sentence for the armed robbery of Dennis' friend.

The co-defendant in the case, Bryan Yeoman, accepted a plea bargain and testified for the state.

Yeoman said Conrad and Dennis struggled during the robbery and both exchanged gunfire. Dennis died from a fatal gunshot to the chest.

For his testimony, Yeoman will spend the next 20 years in prison. The jury spent three-and-a-half hours deciding on the guilty verdict.

A third defendant, Brian Smith, will go to trial later this year.
