Medical Employee Pay Raise

This week, an employee of Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva asked the hospital board of trustees' to increase wages.

Emergency room nurse, Darrell Messer, told board members that medical center employees are some of the lowest paid in the state.

Messer says he and his co-workers enjoy working at Wiregrass Medical Center, but feel salaries should be in line with surrounding health care facilities.

The board took Messer’s comments under advisement, but didn't take any action in regard to increasing the hospital pay scale.
