Ten Years for ATM Thief

A Henry County man accused of smashing into stores with trucks and dragging away anytime teller machines was sentenced in Ozark.

29-year-old Justin McArdle of Newville was arrested in Phenix City in July.

He pled guilty to four-counts of theft last month in Dale County circuit court.

Videotape from a security camera helped investigators identify McArdle as a suspect in May.

He was accused in a series ATM theft at convenience stores across the Wiregrass area.

Four of the crimes were committed in Dale County.

McArdle was sentenced to 10-years in prison Tuesday for those offenses.

He was indicted for similar crimes in Houston County but a trial date has not been set.
