Inauguration Protests

President Bush is surrounded by plenty of cheers, but a lot of angry words as well, as he makes his way along the inaugural parade route in his limousine.

As the motorcade passed an area designated for protests on Pennsylvania Avenue, demonstrators held signs declaring Bush a war criminal, and calling him the worst president ever.

Earlier, a crowd of thousands of protesters extended for several city blocks, with some carrying cardboard boxes representing those killed during the war in Iraq.

A spokesman for U.S. Capitol Police says five people were arrested for protesting during the president's inaugural speech. Some of the chanting from demonstrators could be heard as Bush finished his address.
