Two parents face child neglect charges after authorities took their eight-year-old daughter, a dog and 91 cats from their filthy home in Fort Walton Beach.
Police said the home of Milan and Cynthia Jurkovic was covered in cat feces and wreaked of urine.
Police and the Florida Department of Children and Families first responded to a complaint about the home several weeks ago and stopped by again Tuesday.
The dog was seriously ill and had to be put down. Animal agency officials are trying to find homes for the cats. The child has been placed with other family members.
