The grandmother of a four-year-old girl, Martha Toogood, has been named as the girl's foster parent. Both parents are limited to one weekly supervised visit with her.
A surveillance camera outside a store in Indiana taped her mother, Madelyne Toogood, striking her daughter.
Madelyne Toogood smiled in court Wednesday when the judge announced that Toogood's own mother would be the young girl's foster parent.
She remains free on bond.
