Donalsonville Flooding

A week after nearly 300 homes were flooded in Seminole and Miller Counties, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency said residents still need items to help them in the recovery process.

The Salvation Army has opened a donation center in Donalsonville.

The center is located in the Rambeau Gymnasium at the corner of Martin Luther King and Pugh Streets. It is opened Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The following items are needed:

  • Small or regular size cans of vegetables and meat products
  • Disposable diapers of all sizes
  • Baby food and formula
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Soap
  • Antibacterial skin cleansers
  • Insect repellents
  • Disinfectant products and wipes
  • Work/latex gloves
  • Tarpaulins of all sizes

For more information on providing donated goods, contact the Disaster Resource Center in Donalsonville at 229-524-1236.
