Panama City Inmate Murdered

Authorities said 18-year-old Chad Little was beaten to death in a dorm by a mob of fellow prisoners at the Bay County Correctional Facility Annex.

It occurred shortly after a shakedown. The murder suspects incorrectly believed Little was a snitch.

Little's mother can't understand how the incident occurred with correctional officers nearby. The victim's uncle said many inmates watched what happened, but did nothing.

Little was serving time for failing to pay a fine for misdemeanor marijuana possession, resisting an officer and violation of probation for a charge of burglary.

The case will go to a grand jury to decide if the suspects will be charged with capital murder.
