EUFAULA, Ala. (AP) - A major drug bust in Barbour County resulted in the seizure of an estimated $5 to 6 million in cocaine.
The cocaine was found during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff Leroy Upshaw said deputies found 37 kilograms of the illegal drug stashed in a hidden compartment in a pickup truck.
Upshaw declined to discuss the investigation, but said the discovery may lead to several arrests. He said the case was turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
