Barbour County Sheriffs deputies are cracking down on crime and residents notice the difference.
Barbour County has seen a significant decrease in its crime rate, a drop of 62-percent in the past year.
Sheriff Leroy Upshaw says he and his men noticed a significant drop just in the last six months.
That's when they started concentrating on drug busts.
Upshaw says there have been more than 400-drug arrests since June.
Upshaw says 9-out of the 14-patrol cars were paid for with money confiscated from drug arrests.
He says that saves taxpayers money.
