Midwest Group Tour Wiregrass as Part of Sister City Project

A dozen college students from Minnesota are visiting the area as part of Hartford’s long running sister city project.

Since the mid-1970's, students from Litchfield and Hartford visit each other's community.

Tuesday, they toured the Sysco Food Corporation in Geneva and they went to the Peanut Festival and will visit Panama City Beach.

It's known as the peanut butter and milk exchange.

The Midwest teens get to see our peanut industry in action and in February students from Alabama will visit dairy farms in Litchfield.

Host families in Litchfield and Hartford helped make the sister city project a success over the last 30-years.
