Hurricane Lili Aid

Gulf Power of Northwest Florida has sent crews to Louisiana to help restore electric service to areas affected by Hurricane Lili.

More than 50 workers from Gulf Power left Pensacola Thursday. They'll assist energy companies in repairing power lines in the aftermath of the storm.

Also, a disaster medical assistance team from Fort Walton Beach has been activated by federal authorities. The team consists of nurses, doctors and paramedics.
