This next Sunday is daylight savings and with the change of time comes a reminder to change your batteries.
The start of daylight savings time is officially Sunday, November 4th at 2 a.m.
Fire officials want to remind you that when you turn your clocks back one hour, change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Officials say a working smoke detector can reduce that chance of a fire turning fatal by nearly 50-percent.
Dothan firefighters will come to your home to install a smoke detector and batteries free of charge.
Just leave contact information on their smoke detector hotline at 615-FIRE or 615-3473
