Child Support Round-up

Parents who neglect paying child support can soon expect to pay up in one Wiregrass area.

The district attorney's office and the Coffee County Department of Human Resources will be holding a child support round up during November and December.

Coffee County District Attorney Gary McAlily say children rely on child support payments for their basic needs.

This round up is being conducted to emphasize that.

A grace period of about two weeks will be given for anyone that is behind on their child support.

You must contact the district attorney's office or a warrant could be issued for your arrest.

I sure wish that Jefferson County would do the same thing and let the children have what they deserve!

I am all for the round up. It takes 2 people to make a child and there is no excuse for not supporting your child. Absent parents this is your wake up call. Pay up or you will be placed in the blue top inn.

I sure hope that the Dale County DHR and District Attorney will follow up with an intensive round up as well!
