A Toyota Motor Corporation spokeswoman said the automaker still has not reached a decision on whether to build a new North American plant for which an Arkansas site is under consideration.
Cities in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee are vying for the $750 million plant.
Visceglia said that if sales of sport utility vehicles continue to grow at the current rate, the auto giant would look to build a new plant in North America to keep up with robust demand.
