MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities found the charred remains of a woman in rubble five days after a fire destroyed a mobile home in west Mobile County.
Kate Johnson, a spokeswoman for the Mobile County Sheriff's Office, says the body was found Saturday evening underneath a pile of rubble.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is planned before the woman's name is released.
Johnson says the body was not seen on the night of the fire in the Georgetown community last Monday because it was covered by the rubble.
