Chipley Man Gets 13 Years for DUI Manslaughter

A Washington County man is headed to prison after pleading guilty in a fatal drunk-driving case.

48-year-old Ronald Gary Finch of Chipley was sentenced to 13 years for DUI manslaughter and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Finch was driving a van that collided head-on with another vehicle on Highway 77 in Panama City in June of this year.

Glenn Roy was killed in the crash.

Prosecutors say Finch's blood-alcohol level was more than four-times the legal limit at the time of the wreck.

Finch had already been convicted twice for DUI and had his license was revoked

Florida law requires inmates to serve at least 85 percent of their sentence.
