Tallahassee Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges

A Tallahassee man is in the Jackson County jail, charged in a home-invasion robbery south of Marianna.

18-year-old Jonathan Moodie faces two-counts of attempted murder.

Moodie was discovered Tuesday morning by canine tracking teams after an intensive ground and air search.

The incident happened around 8 o'clock Monday night off Pittman Hill Road.

Authorities say Moodie went to a mobile home to buy a pit bull.

An argument erupted between the suspect and the occupants.

22-year-old Alisa Dilmore and 24-year-old Willard Porter were struck during an exchange of gunfire with Moodie.

The victims were taken to a Dothan hospital and are reportedly doing well.

Major John Dennis of Jackson Co. Sheriff's Dept says it's very fortunate that Moodie did not kill anyone.

Dilmore was struck twice by bullets in the neck and abdomen.

Moodie's first appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning in a Marianna courtroom.
