Two Killed in Separate Motorcycle Crashes

A motorcycle collides with a train killing the driver.

The accident happened around 6 o’clock Wednesday morning.

The driver, 61-year-old Marvin E. Sheplar of Clio, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Sheplar tried to beat the three engine 74 car train that was going 40 miles an hour at the Highway 27 crossing in Ozark, near Carroll High School.

Sheplar was a resident of Clio and a Fort Rucker civilian fireman.

Another fatal motorcycle accident claimed the life of a teenager Tuesday night in Geneva County.

State Troopers identify the victim as 15-year-old Devon Lolley of Black.

The wreck happened about 8:45 P.M on County Road 4 about five miles south of Geneva.

Troopers say a car driven by 16-year-old James Jackson of Chancellor was trying to pass another vehicle when it collided with Lolley's motorcycle head-on.

Jackson was also injured in the mishap.

Devon Lolley is my son and was one of the most loving people I know. Thank you to all of the people reached out to us in our darkest days. I know that Devon lives on in Heaven as well as in the hearts of those that knew him. May God richly bless all of you for your kindness.
