In Alabama alone, Alzheimer’s affects 84,000 people and 10,000 diagnosed, live in our area.
That’s why a local group is working to create awareness.
The Alzheimer’s resource center hosted a luncheon this afternoon at St. Andrews market.
They offered education about the disease.
Organizers say it's important to be prepared because the disease can lead to dangerous situations.
