An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death of a Presbyterian College football player.
School spokesman Hal Milam says another student found 21-year-old Kyle Allen of St. Augustine, Fla., unconscious in a fraternity house early Sunday. Allen was taken to Laurens County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Coroner Nick Nichols said he expected to learn the cause of death following an autopsy Monday. Nichols says he does not think foul play was involved.
The State Law Enforcement Division has been notified because of the death on a college campus.
The linebacker transferred from Georgia Southern in 2010 and was redshirted. His teammates were told of his death at a team meeting Sunday morning.
The business administration major played in all 11 games in 2011.
