Ga. 7th-grader struck by school bus

CEDARTOWN, Ga. (AP) - Officials in Polk County say a
seventh-grader at Cedartown Middle School was struck by a school
bus and was taken to a hospital.
Cedartown assistant police chief James Newsome says 12-year-old
Wyatt Pilgrim was waiting for a school bus near his home when he
was struck by another bus near Cherokee Elementary School Wednesday
morning.
Newsome says the bus was in a traffic lane when it struck the
boy, whose injuries he described as life-threatening.
He says the boy was treated at a local hospital, then flown to
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite hospital after
the weather cleared.
