Ga Hit and Run

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - A 28-year-old Sandy Springs man has
surrendered to police after hitting a 2-year-old boy with his car
and fleeing the scene.

Sandy Springs police alleged that Darrell Anthony Floyd Junior,
struck the boy in the parking lot at an apartment complex.

The hit-and-run occurred just after 4 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the youngster suffered fractures to his back and leg, but he is expected to recover.
Floyd was placed in the Doraville jail.
