ROSSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A tree fell on a northwest Georgia house
with seven people inside, killing a 7-year-old boy and injuring
another child and a woman who were trapped inside.
A woman who was inside the house told WRCB-TV that the injured
woman is in serious condition at a Chattanooga, Tennessee,
hospital. The injured child was treated and released.
They were trapped inside for about four hours after the big tree
fell and rescuers in Walker County were called about 11 p.m.
Walker County Fire Chief Randy Camp told the Chattanooga Times
Free Press that the incident does not appear to be weather-related.
