MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - A man who stabbed his ex-girlfriend through
the heart with a 3-foot sword has been sentenced to life in prison.
Superior Court Judge Robert Flournoy also sentenced Eliot
Jeffers to 50 years Friday for crimes including aggravated assault
and weapons charges. Those sentences are to run consecutively with
the life sentence.
Jeffers stabbed Jocilyn Williams inside a restaurant Oct. 30, 2006, slashing a restaurant manager who tried to stop the attack.A jury convicted him last month.
