AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- The ex-wife of an Augusta attorney is pleading guilty to a charge of providing alcohol to a minor, and prosecutors are dropping a related charge of rape.
A lawyer for Caroline Neal tells The Augusta Chronicle a sentencing hearing will be set later.
Neal and her now ex-husband, Joe Neal Jr., were indicted in March after a then-18-year-old babysitter accused them of sexual assault in December.
The man accepted a plea deal after the start of his trial and received three years of probation, plus community service.
The babysitter said Caroline Neal had invited her to the couple's home for "girl talk" and a glass of wine last December before she was sexually assaulted.
Joe Neal Jr. pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and an alcohol charge.
