HEADLAND, AL-- Headland police officers said they found nearly 90 grams of crystal meth and almost an ounce of marijuana in Justin Hembree's car after a traffic stop. That's a total of $100,000 worth of drugs.
Police said the suspect fled when they found the drugs, but was caught. Investigators searched the car and said they found multiple credit cards, drivers licenses, social security cards and other items that didn't belong to Hembree.
Today Headland investigators said they believe Hembree broke into multiple cars in Panama City this weekend.
Headland Police Chief Mark Jones said, "We are in the process now of getting another search warrant to go back into the vehicle. Due to the fact that during the investigation, found burglaries to be involved in Panama City and have confirmed the victims. Therefore we will go back into the vehicle with the search warrant to recover all of the other property that's inside the vehicle because there's numerous amount of property still in the vehicle."
Hembree is in jail on $127,000 bond.
Chief Jones says Hembree will see additional charges in the near future.
