Teen Seriously Injured in Sandy Springs Accident

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) -- A teen has been seriously injured in a Sandy Springs accident.

The crash happened Friday afternoon when a car struck a 16-year-old girl who was crossing the street.

Authorities said the girl was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for treatment. WSB-TV reports that the driver stopped after the crash. No charges have been filed.
