Powerful thunderstorms started lightning fires, toppled trees and dumped large hail on parts of Georgia.

National Weather Service reports from emergency officials indicate that several trees were blown down in Forsyth County, including one that landed on a house.

Emergency management officials also reported several trees down in Johnson County after the Thursday evening storms.

No serious injuries had been reported by early Friday.

Weather service officials also reported that large hail fell in several parts of metro Atlanta, including Fulton and Cobb counties.
